Many Vancouver runners are using their training sessions before the weekend Sun Run to show their support for the people of Boston.
The dozens of runners at the Running Room on Denman Street stopped for a moment of silence for those in Boston before heading out Wednesday night.
Runner Michael Campbell-Burns says Boston's tragedy is having a unifying effect here, "It's totally bringing people together because running is a community. Vancouver is a huge running community. It is just an amazing solidarity; this is a show of respect for the fallen and for those injured."
Campbell-Burns, like many other local runners, is choosing to wear a special Boston Marathon bib on all runs to remember the runners and spectators brutalized by Monday's bombs.
