Another milestone has been reached by the man in charge of helping Vancouver taxpayers recover their debt from the Olympic Village at False Creek.

"Out of the 737 market condominiums, we've now sold 600, so we have 137 to go."

Bob Rennie admits the death of the harmonized sales tax on April 1st has boosted interest, "We're not pegging it through HST switching to GST, but we sold 22 homes in the last 30 days. The big change is when we started talking about this, there was a huge ghost town cloud over the village and now, I have people telling me they can't find a parking spot."

City staff are still calculating the total debt remaining on the billion dollar loan needed to build the village.

An update is expected later this month.
