Nearly four years after a homeless woman was fatally stabbed in West Vancouver's Lighthouse Park, her boyfriend's sentence hearing is now underway in Vancouver.
Tammy-Lynn Cordone's body was found in a tent on May 19th, 2009.
At the time, her killer Alexander La Glace claimed she was stabbed multiple times by someone else, but his clothes were covered with her blood. He also claimed the 43-year old victim was his wife, but there's no record of their marriage.
They were both homeless and dealing with addiction issues. La Glace -who's spent time in psychiatric care- was deemed fit to stand trial and in November, he was found guilty of manslaughter.
Prosecutors want the 48 year old to spend up to 12 years in prison.
