Rescue crews on the North Shore are taking part in what they're calling a "snow man" drill -- tomorrow (this) morning.
Don't be alarmed if you see helicopters hovering at the base of Cypress Bowl -- it's North Shore Search and Rescue's annual air and land avalanche drill.
Team Leader Tim Jones says the exercise is designed to be extremely difficult -- to help them in worst case scenarios.
"An air land drill based on a avalanche scenario where 12 snowshoers have been hit by an avalanche and buried, testing our avalanche response plan and also testing our air operations, our long line rescue specifically," says Jones.
Jones adds people are welcome to come and watch.
The drill will take place in the olympic mogul area.
