The website bears his name, but encourages visitors to vote against him, now an independent candidate in New Westminster is trying to shut it down, "It is bizarre, that is all I can say."
James Crosty says the website has a series of hidden key words in order to pop up on Google searches for anything New West related, "I think every party should be concerned because who is next? And what picture is going to come up next week when we get closer to May 14th? You know, I am nervous about that. I think every party should come out with a statement saying they don't approve of this kind of behaviour in an election. I am the first one to get smacked with this."
Crosty says he has filed a complaint with Election BC, because the site violates third party advertising rules. He says the page is based overseas and illegally uses his likeness as well as that of Premier Christy Clark and Gordon Campbell.
