An altercation between two men has turned into a homicide.
Vancouver Police Constable Brian Montague says the altercation started on McGill Street near Windermere around 7:00 this morning.
An 80 year old man was allegedly pushed to the ground.
"Ambulance was called, paramedics arrived and spoke with the victim who was conscious and speaking with him at the time. He was taken to hospital, he was suffering from a head injury. Unfortunately, the man's condition quickly deteriorated and he was pronounced dead at hospital."
Montague says a 35 year old man is in custody.
No charges have been laid.
