The lawyer for a disabled woman who was pushed to the ground by a Vancouver police officer in 2010 on the Downtown Eastside says they are still waiting for the officer to be disciplined.
Scott Bernstein represents Sandy Davidsen.
He says the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner rejected the department’s one-day suspension of Const. Taylor Robinson last summer and asked instead for a formal hearing.
The commissioner has yet to set a date.
“It’s very frustrating that it's been three years since Miss Davidsen has been pushed down and she's still waiting for the actual justice.”
Bernstein says the civil case and human rights have been withdrawn after an agreement was made between all parties back in February.
