A father and son are recovering in separate hospitals after falling down a 100-foot embankment on the Chehalis river in Agassiz last evening.
Searchers found the 35 year old man and his 9 year old son at 9:30PM.
The father required a spine board because of back, leg, and facial injuries.
Emergency crews couldn't carry him up the steep terrain, so a search and rescue cormorant helicopter was called in. It lifted him to safety and flew him to Vancouver.
The boy's injuries were not so severe. He was able to walk back up to the top where an ambulance took him to Chilliwack hospital.
