A man has been found dead inside an overturned float plane off Vancouver Island.
A Cormorant helicopter and two Coast Guard vessels were dispatched after someone reported the plane at the entry to Bute Inlet, northeast of Campbell River. Lieutenant-Commander Desmond James with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says they were called shortly before 5:30 Tuesday evening, "We got a call that was patched through to us saying that there was a concerned citizen who reported what looked like an overturned float plane in the water in Bute Inlet, around Stuart Island."
James says the plane is a Beaver, he doesn't know whether it is commercial or private.
