Vancouver Police are investigating an afternoon collision that has resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
About 4:30 pm, the pedestrian was crossing Hastings Street mid-block near Carrall Street when he was hit by a car traveling west on Hastings.
The man in his 60's, died at the scene. His identity has not been confirmed.
The driver of the car remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision.
This is Vancouver's 7th traffic related fatality of 2013.
