Two people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a party in an Abbotsford duplex early this morning.
Jeff Adams is the Assistant Chief of the Abbotsford Fire and Rescue.
He says at around 12:30 this morning, they were called to a building well known to them.
"The smoke was quite heavy. We still had people walking out of the building, seems to be a bit of a party here tonight. It took a bit to get inside and get the fire knocked down. There was a lot of smoke damage and a little bit of fire damage."
Adams says it is too early to tell how the fire was started.
Two people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
