BC's Independent Investigations Office has two new cases on its hands.
The first involves Ridge Meadows RCMP.
One person was hit by a police cruiser near Lougheed Highway and 216 Street in Maple Ridge overnight.
No other details have been made available.
The IIO is also probing a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Blanshard Street and Cloverdale Avenue in saanich.
The crash occured around 3:00 a.m. -- minutes after Victoria Police witnessed the same vehicle travelling at a high-rate of speed on Quadra Street.
The driver's condition is not known.
