A Quesnel Mountie has been ordered to forfeit nine days pay for slapping a man and spraying another with pepper spray.
Constable Timothy Wang was the Senior Mountie and the School Liason Officer at the Quesnel Detachment back in 2009.
One day in July of that year, he slapped a handcuffed man in the face.
Wang also released pepper spray under the door of a drunk-tank cell into the face of another man.
A court later found Wang guilty of assault for the face-slap and sentenced him to an absolute discharge , which meant no punishment.
An internal review by the RCMP resulted in a disciplinary hearing held last fall.
Wang, who has 15 years on the force, was reprimanded and ordered to forfeit three days pay for the face-slap, and six days pay for the pepper spray incident.
