The fallout from the Provincial Heath Services Authority pay raise scandal continues.
The PHSA board says President and CEO, Lynda Cranston has resigned.
Wynn Powell serves on the board and says they held a formal board meeting Friday.
" Lynda Cranston came in and apologized to the board, and said she had made a mistake when she had authorized wage increases that were beyond the government guidelines, and that she should not have done and she wished to tender her resignation, which the board accepted."
Powell says Cranston will not receive a severance package.
He adds it will take months to find a permanent replacement, but for now, Carl Roy will serve as acting president and CEO.
