Several BC provincial government ministries have formally offered to assist Alberta as areas of that province experience severe flooding.
Executive Director of the Emergency Management Unit for the Ministry of Health, Shawn Carby, says BC has yet to send any workers or equipment, but the offer is there.
"They seem to be managing right now, but we are standing ready and willing to assist them in any way, shape or form they require."
Carby says the Ministry of Health could send its mobile medical unit, or workers such as health-care professionals or public health inspectors should the need arise.
