There is some positive news to report after a teenage girl was badly injured during diving lessons in West Vancouver on the weekend.
Around five o' clock Saturday, police and fire fighters were called out to a report of a diver in distress at Whytecliff park.
The 17 year old Richmond girl had been carried to the beach by other divers, unconscious and unresponsive.
She was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital in critical condition.
But she's now responding well to treatment, and can move and breathe on her own.
