A survey of North Shore parents found the top three concerns they have about their children are academic performance; their youngsters having too much screen time and quality of education.
The top three causes of stress among north shore parents?
Personal work situation; caring for children and finances.
Brian O'Connor is the North Shore Medical Health Officer, "With respect to their mental health? 34 per cent of parents report their lives are quite or extremely stressful compared to 23-per cent among non-parents. Probably not a surprising thing for you to understand or know."
O'Connor also says the survey shows there's also a big need for governments to invest in quality daycare.
