Delta Police and provincial vehicle inspectors removed dozens of dangerous trucks from the roads during a three day blitz last week.
The numbers are in.
Constable Ciaran Feenan says they pulled over 429 vehicles.
184 were taken off the road immediately.
208 received violations.
Only 37 passed inspection.
He says they were looking for a number of issues.
"Mechanical components, driver qualifications - brakes, tires, lights, steering, load security, driver licensing and of course, fatigue
While the number of vehicle failures may sound alarming, Feenan says these are the exceptions.
He says this event was targetting the worst of the worst on the road -- but most commercial vehciles are safe.
