It was a happy ending to a long day for North Shore Search and Rescue.
The team was called out to the Grouse Mountain area around 4:30pm yesterday after a pair of Korean tourists got lost while hiking.
Team leader Tim Jones says with more out-of-town visitors during the summer he expects his teams to be busy.
"People, especially if they are coming from outside Canada and don't know the trails at all, and are probably having a problem understanding the trails, are getting lost."
The women - who didn’t speak English – were able to phone North Shore Rescue and make contact through a translator.
Jones says they were finally located and rescued around 7pm near Mosquito Creek.
Neither was injured.
