If you see a thousand or so runners wearing next to nothing on Vancouver's seawall today, don't be alarmed.
It's just the underwear affair, an annual run to raise cash to fight cancer.
BC Cancer Foundation President Doug Nelson says while the disease is serious, events that raise money for research and treatment don't have to be.
"It's really inspiring to us at the BC Cancer Foundation to see how the community supports this event, and really the surprised faces on people who are on the seawall when they see 1,000 people in their underwear."
Since the event was started, participants have raised four million dollars for the cause.
