A man needed a long line rescue after hurting himself at Granite Falls Sunday afternoon.
Mike Coyle with Coquitlam Search and Rescue says the area in Indian Arm is quite steep, so they had to use the helicopter long line.
"We went up and North Shore Rescue was able to long line the subject who was injured out to where the hovercraft was. BC Ambulance and paramedics took over and he was transported and loaded onto an ambulance."
Coyle says the 28-year-old man was likely sliding down the falls like a water slide.
The man suffered lower body and spinal injuries.
Coyle says there was no way he was walking out of there.
