A 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being rescued from a north shore mountain.
North Shore Rescue performed a helicopter long line rescue to pick up the woman after she slipped while hiking.
Team Leader Tim Jones says regular training allows his team to quickly - and safely - answer this kind of call for help.
"We've developed an extensive communication system and that really helps us get off the mark fast. We have a repeater system that rings the North Shore, and that really is the added benefit of safety and effectiveness of what we do."
The woman was taken to hospital with a broken ankle.
