Case involving Abbotsford police officer going straight to trial

A case involving an Abbotsford police officer is going straight to trial in B.C. Supreme Court.

Ten counts have been sworn against Const. Christopher Nicholson, including obstruction of justice, breach of trust, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

Nicholson is accused of providing false information that led to search warrants being obtained.

Nicholson has been released on an undertaking.

He's set to be back court Aug. 28.

He began working for Abbotsford Police in November 2005.
