Some good news out of Kelowna -- progress is being made on a wildfire north of the airport.
The fire is now completely machine guarded.
Fire Information Officer, Melissa Welsh says an attack crew was on-scene overnight.
"There's been no growth on this fire overnight. It's still estimated at 3.5 hectares in size."
Welsh says crews will be walking around the fire to get a more accurate size.
She adds now that the blaze is guarded, crews will be looking for fuels that are still burning and extinguishing them.
The fire is believed to be human-caused.
Welsh anticipates crews will be sent back to a blaze south of Spences Bridge today to make sure hot spots are out.
A crew left it as smouldering ground early this morning.
