The province is calling a news conference for tomorrow morning, where officials will outline its position on "heavy oil pipeline proposals."
The conference comes as the government faces continued criticism over refusing to take a hard stance on Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline.
Premier Christy Clark said Friday is a "very large risk" with "very small benefit,” after U.S. report slammed its handling of an oil spill in Michigan two years ago.
On the same day, Enbridge announced plans to spend up to $500 million on additional safety measures.
Environment Minister Terry Lake and Aboriginal Relations Minister Mary Polak will make the announcement.
