Margaret MacDiarmid acknowledges the facility is out-dated and needs to be redeveloped, but the government will wait for a report from the Fraser Health Authority before moving forward.

Speaking on The World Today Weekend, she stressed investment in hospital projects are not for political gains.
This after leaked liberal party emails urged an announcement to rebuild the hospital to gain public approval, even if the government is unable to make a commitment on details.
