An out of court settlement has been reached in a long-running dispute between organizers of the 2010 Olympics and a popular Vancouver ice cream shop.
Mario's Gelati lost business during construction of the nearby Olympic Athletes Village along False Creek.
VANOC staff initially promised roadwork outside the shop on the corner of Quebec and First Avenue would only take a few weeks.
It lasted more than seven months.
The case was slated to go to court this month, but a settlement was reached in September.
A confidentiality agreement prevents the release of how much money was awarded.
The initial claim was for more than 2.5-million dollars.
When reached by phone, owner Mario Loscerbo says he's happy with the outcome.
