An earthquake shook the Lower Mainland briefly late last night.
The quake happened shortly after 10:30.
Marilyn Atchison lives in Vancouver.
She says she heard a "whoosh" sound and says her house creaked.
She thought it may have been a gust of wind, but says when she looked outside, nothing was moving.
Atchison figured it may have been an earthquake.
"Well it was so brief and there was really no violent shaking or anything, so I figured it had to be quite a ways away."
Natural Resources Canada reports the quake happened just east of Sidney.
It had a preliminary magnitude of 3.3.
