The verdict is expected Monday at the Chilliwack trial of a man accused of murdering a teen runaway more than seven years ago.
Jesse Blue West was charged with the first degree murder of 14-year old Chelsea Acorn. She disappeared in the fall of 2005. Her body was found the following April near Hope.
West’s son Dustin Blue Moir has been serving a life sentence since he was convicted of the same charge in February of 2010.
During his trial, West tried to prove the girl's death was an accident and he's only guilty of helping his son hide the body, but prosecutors say both men planned the murder.
The verdict from BC Supreme Court Justice William Grist is slated to come down at 10am in Chilliwack.
