A rarely-used institution known as the "Provincial Legislature" is back in business today for the first time since last spring.
"Her honour! The Lieutenant-Governor!"
And the first order of business on the first day of the new session is formally ending last year's session.
"In closing this fourth session of the 39th parliament of British Columbia, I commend you"
Lieutenant-Governor Judith Guichon will be back in a few hours to deliver the Liberal government's throne speech which will theoretically lay out the agenda for the year.
But the real agenda is to shut the place down once again in just five weeks time clearing the path for a lengthy election campaign.
