Ticket re-sellers: There is demand for TOIFA tickets but they say price is high

With the Times Of India film awards being given out tomorrow evening, two Vancouver ticket re-sellers say there has been a demand for tickets.

But Kingsley Bailey with Vancouver Ticket says he's decided not to re-sell tickets for the awards show on a large scale - just for a few loyal customers.

He says when the tickets went on sale, he was most interested in the entry-level seating, because there were lots of clients who wanted to be there, but didn't necessarily want great seats.

"And when that didn't materialize where there were very few tickets that were in the entry-level price range category, we made a conscious decision not to re-sell tickets for this event."

Bailey says it's rare for his business to decide to not re-sell tickets for an event.

Meanwhile, Mario Livich with showtime Tickets.com is re-selling tickets for TOIFA.

"We're seeing much greater demand in the last few days for the lower priced tickets -- tickets under $100 are selling the most, tickets between $100 and $200 are moving somewhat.  anything above that price is very stagnant and not moving at all."

Livich says he thinks some of the tickets have been very overpriced for the marketplace.
