An urgent recall of birth control pills sold in BC.
Health Canada has put out a notice that the manufacturer of "Alysena" has recalled the 28-pack product because it may contain one too many rows of placebo pills.
The federal agency has ordered drug wholesalers and pharmacies to pull the pills from shelves.
The manufacturer, Apotex, is based in Toronto.
The pill was sold all over Canada, except the Territories, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The London Drugs in downtown Vancouver, at Georgia and Granville, is offering free pregnancy tests and over-the-counter pills to anyone who filled their prescription for "Alysena" at that store.
