The judicial review into temporary foreign worker permits granted to HD Mining for 201 Chinese workers gets underway tomorrow.
The review is set to reveal how the company was granted the permits. Brian Cochrane is with one of two labour unions that sought the review.
"This whole process started back in November and we've been flogged every step of the way by HD Mining and the federal government, so we're looking forward to shining some light on what's happened in this particular case, and demonstrating the flaws really that's contained in the Temporary Foreign Worker Program."
The unions want Canadians to have first crack at jobs.
They've accused HD Mining of ignoring qualified Canadians who applied for work at the Murray River coal mine project near Tumbler Ridge.
The review is set to wrap up on Wednesday.
