Premier Christy Clark wound up day one on the campaign trail at a rally in Burnaby. With several candidates by her side, Clark spoke to a few dozen supporters in her home city. Her speech featured familiar themes, like eliminating the Provincial debt, "Then why is it okay for our Province to leave our kids with debt? And, of course, it's not! And that's the choice we face as British Columbians right now. It's a choice about what we stand for."
Clark says the NDP doesn't believe in balancing budgets, and *does* believe in growing government. She also criticized the NDP's pledge to get rid of a Liberal plan that would allow a 12-hundred dollar investment into an RESP for a child born after January 1, 2007.
