The BC Conservative Party is throwing in the towel on taking Elections BC to court.
Conservative Campaign Chair Rick Peterson says the party's lawyer told them they simply don't have a case.
Peterson says Vancouver Quilchena candidate Bill Clarke will be unaffiliated on the ballot after some paperwork was missed.
"It is not going to help but on the other hand Bill Clarke's name is very well known in Quilchena. He is out knocking on doors, a 79 year old man in the heat, and doing burmashaves at the intersection of Arbutus and West King Edward so the word is out, Bill's name is out and he will be the only candidate of the four not to have a party affiliation beside his name."
The Conservatives were trying to find a legal way to force Elections BC to add the party's name back onto the ballot.
