More than 100,000 people turned out yesterday to vote on the first day of advanced polls.
The numbers are in from Elections BC.
The highest turnout was on the island: Comox Valley, with more than 2,500 ballots cast, followed closely by Parksville-Qualicum and Saanich North, as well as two Interior ridings.
Trailing the pack was the riding of Stikine with 447 people voting.
In 2009, 17.5 per cent of eligible voters checked the box ahead of time.
Advanced polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Saturday.
General voting is on Tuesday, May 14.
