After promising to step down if she didn't win her Victoria-Beacon Hill riding, the leader of the BC Green Party is now looking at staying on.
Jane Sterk says the party met with her this morning and have asked her if she will stay on as leader.
"And I have agreed to their request to suspend a decision for a little while and we will know I guess more over the next month what this picture will look like and what my place in it is and whether that is consistent with the way I want to be living my life."
Sterk says she is not sure it will work if she doesn't have seat while Andrew Weaver does after winning Oak Bay-Gordon Head.
She adds the party will run a candidate against Premier Christy Clark when she runs in a by-election to get a seat.
