Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Chief of Staff may have resigned this morning, but that does not mean the senate scandal is going away.
Nigel Wright stepped down after it was found out he wrote a personal cheque for $90,000 to Senator Mike Duffy.
This scandal has outraged many people, including NDP Ethics Critic Charlie Angus.
"It suggests a level of involvement and collusion that I think undermines anybody's trust that they could have right now, specifically in the senate. But also, where is the Prime Minister on this? He needs to show leadership that he takes this seriously."
Wright wrote the cheque to cover Duffy's disallowed housing expenses.
This broke senate rules of senators not being allowed to accept gifts.
Ray Novak was named the new chief of staff today.
