Another politician has come forward with concerns about exporting coal from Fraser Surrey Docks.
Surrey City Councilor turned MLA, Marvin Hunt, says he's concerned about coal dust.
Hunt says questions need to be answered.
"One is dealing with the coal dust and how far it flies. Any particle that goes up, comes down. What is the distance? Also, there’s the whole issue of a pile of coal dust.”
Last week the CEO of Fraser Surrey Docks told CKNW, they do have a process in place to deal with coal dust, but did not give details about the process.
If approved, American coal would arrive at Fraser Surrey Docks by train and then be sent down the Fraser River by barge.
