Two longboarders are in serious condition after a crash in West Vancouver.
Police says the two were cruising downhill in the 1300 block of Camridge Road when they swerved to avoid an oncoming car, but then crashed into a parked truck.
Const. Jeff Palmer says the two men, ages 21 and 23, were rushed to hospital.
"I don't have information on the full extent of their injuries, so I wouldn't apply any particular label to it other than to say it appeared that they were in serious condition. … We have an officer at the hospital and are awaiting update, but at this point that is what we are able to say."
Palmer adds longboarding is prohibited in the city.
Last week, a 17-year-old student from West Vancouver’s Rockridge Secondary was sent to hospital with critical head injuries after he crashed into a van while on a longboard.
