The BC Green Party has had a change of heart and will now - not - run a candidate against the Premier in a by-election.

In the days after the Provincial Election Jane Sterk had said her party was already prepping for a by-election campaign.

But now, Sterk says those plans have changed, in part due to the Westside-Kelowna riding Christy Clark picked, "It is partly that and also, you know, the reality of a campaign this soon after the other one and you know this was won handily by the Liberal Party and we think this is in the best interest of the Province to get the Premier in there and get them to start governing."

The Premier won't be running un-opposed as the NDP say they will run a candidate against her.

No word yet on what the BC Conservative Party will do.
