The MLA-elect for Surrey-Fleetwood is now getting rid of several other hats including his other responsibility as Chair of the BC Pavillion Corporation.
Peter Fassbender has confirmed he has resigned, "As an elected official, even though I have not been sworn in, I can't hold an appointment to a Crown Corporation, so I have submitted my resignation."
Fassbender says he is not the only one as Suzanne Anton, MLA-elect for Vancouver- Fraserview has also resigned from the Pavco Board, "Yes, she is in exactly the same position. So she and I actually both submitted it the same day."
Fassbender says he will also step aside as the Mayor of Langley City next month, triggering a by-election.
