Using the slogan, 'think before you let them drink,' health workers and police on Metro Vancouver's North Shore are again warning adults about the consequences of young people abusing alcohol.
For the past five years, authorities have been campaigning against bootlegging which involves adults illegally providing spirits to teenagers.
Danielle Raymond lost her 16-year old sister Shannon in July of 2008 after she ingested alcohol, two ecstasy tablets and massive amounts of water on a party bus.
"Everybody was in a sort of cover your butt mode and cover the butts of your friends rather than hey you know our friend is really sick and we need to do something about that and nobody did."
Raymond says her family made the mistake of trusting the adults responsible for Shannon's care before she died.
