Coquitlam RCMP say a street race involving two cars Monday night ended up with two people being sent to hospital.
A Mazda and BMW were involved, going back and forth trying to pass heading north on Mariner Way from Austin Avenue.
When they tried racing through the intersection at Mariner Way and Como Lake Avenue, the bmw slammed into another vehicle, sending that car into a hydro pole.
The street racers have had their vehicles taken away for seven days and face charges under the motor vehicle act.
