Police are still not saying why a Burnaby mother vanished from her home after she put her two young sons to bed Tuesday night, and was found safe yesterday in New Westminster.
The frantic search for 30-year-old Susan Mitchell involved more than 40 RCMP investigators.
Staff Sgt. Major John Buis says as far as the public is concerned, the case is now closed.
"It’s a very unfortunate situation and we're not commenting any further. We're trying to respect her privacy and the time she needs now. This has now become a private matter with her and her family and we're going to respect that."
Buis says Mitchell was found minutes after police announced to the media she visited a local bank Wednesday afternoon.
