The BC Taxi Association is weighing in on the controversy surrounding proposed bike lanes for Vancouver's west side.
Association President Mohan Kang says the bike lanes should go along west Third Avenue or West 8th rather than Point Grey Road.
Kang says Point Grey Road's an important artery and any bike lanes along the route will have a significant impact on taxi traffic, "It will create more problems for them and the flow of the traffic will be slow."
Kang also says it's going to cost customers more too, with cabs stuck in traffic.
