A Langley family who lost hundreds in a ticket scam selling fake One Direction tickets says they've received an outpouring of generosity.
Tom Mierzejewski says the story CKNW ran late last week led to a number of offers of tickets for his ten year old daughter and her friend to see the band.
He says the girls are going to take one company up on the offer to watch from their corporate box but the rest will go to good use, "Any extra tickets we've got we're just going to pay it forward. And we've got some brothers and sisters here who would surely love to go but were going to make sure the tickets do go to somebody that was ripped off on this scam as well."
Mierzejewski says he and his wife have spoken to about a dozen people also ripped off buying fake tickets.
Vancouver Police have arrested a 16 year old suspect.
