Four years after a 25 year old Surrey man's body was found in a burned out vehicle in Burnaby, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says they haven't stopped looking for clues; nor has the man's mother.
John Hanna's mom doesn't want her name to be known or to speak publicly, but in a written statement she is pleading with the people who killed her son to come forward.
She says that she knows her son made some bad choices in his life but he did not deserve to die in such a brutal way.
On July 16, 2009 police were called to the 5600 block of Clinton Avenue because of shots fired. When they arrived they found a car in flames.
Although Hanna's body was found in the car it was actually gun shots that killed him.
Investigators said at the time they believed Hanna was targeted because of his involvement in the street level drug trade.
