A central BC city is celebrating the arrival of George, the newest member of the royal family.
The mayor of Prince George says residents are honoured to share the same name.
"We've got a book of well-wishes set up at City Hall and we're also going to have a crib set up. We want people to come and donate baby toys and clothes and other items that new parents in need might need to have."
Shari Green is also sending an invite to the royal family for the Canada Winter Games in February of 2015.
"The Duke and Duchess are sports fans, so we're going to invite them and hope that they'll see that as an exciting way to introduce him to Canada."
The City was named after Prince George the third dating back to 1760.
Green was speaking with CKNW's Simi Sara.
